Project SOS is a low-cost, real-time gunshot detection and localization designed for schools, churches, and community spaces.
Using audio caputured by our devices, our system can detect gunshots within milliseconds and pinpoint their origin using time-difference triangulation. When a targeted sound is detected, alerts can be sent instantly to staff, first responders, or security personnel.
Our vision is to build neighborhood-wide safety networks. We aim to start by equipping 10 nearby schools or churches, each with 3–5 smart listening devices capable of covering a 1,000-foot radius. These devices will work together to monitor large areas collaboratively forming a mesh of protective nodes.
Project SOS is early, but the mission is clear: provide fast, scalable, and affordable acoustic safety without relying on expensive commercial platforms. The system can grow organically, one block and one building at a time.
